POSITION SUMMARY:
\nThe Sonographer performs a variety of routine, complex and highly technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease.
\nThe Certified Staff/Senior Sonographer works under the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Manager, and under the clinical direction and guidance of the Radiologist and Ultrasound Supervisor. The Sonographer performs a variety of routine, complex and highly technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the application of nonionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
\n
High School graduate or equivalent
\nGraduate of an approved CAHEA/JRCT school of Radiologic Technology, or a two year allied health equivalent
\nARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certified and ARRT preferred.
\n \n\n
\n
EXPERIENCE
\n
2-3 years experience preferred
\nExperience in vascular, OB and small part preferred.
\nHOURS/SHIFTS:
\nThis position is Monday-Friday, noon-8:30pm with an on-call rotation of every 5th weekend (Saturday, Sundays, and holidays) from 8am-noon.
